Many different places sell bathroom accessories that are inspired by country décor and country living. These tend to be towels, bathmats, shower curtains, wash clothes, soap dispenser, soap, toilet covers, and toilet paper cozies. They tend to have natural and nature inspired items, like roses, sunflowers, ivy, chickens, pigs, and barnyard scenes. Some of it can be a bit kitschy and over the top. Many of the items that claim to be country décor or inspired by country style are actually just bizarre interpretations of what that particular life or culture is like. On the other hand, it is possible to accessorize your bathroom with items that genuinely invoke the atmosphere you are hoping for without coming across as silly, kitschy, campy or over the top. These might be items that are inspired by different cultures—namely English or French rather than the sort of kitschy Americana some people go for.

French country style has a rustic feel with colors from all over the color wheel. You could paint your bathroom a nice sky or cobalt blue to mimic the shutters normally placed on French windows to keep the sun out, and accent that with a deep red on your door or shower curtain. You could have faucets that are meant to mimic old-fashioned hand pumps, as well as towel hangers made from wrought iron or burnished copper. Your light fixture could be something either resembling or inspired by an old tin lamp. There are many degrees of country décor, and your bathroom can reflect tastes at any point on the spectrum.
